Samuel N. Vodopia and Carol J. Hasson Fellow
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow working under Amruta Jaodand in Fiona Harrison's NASA NuSTAR group on project searching for hard X-ray pulsations with improved NuSTAR clock corrections.
• Laboratory for Laser Energetics (2018)
Worked on an independent project: “Spectral Moment Analysis of the Deuterium-Deuterium Neutron Energy Distribution from Inertial Confinement Fusion on OMEGA”. Wrote a MATLAB program to forward-fit neutron spectra and derive bulk flow velocities and ion temperature. Discovered an inherent asymmetry in the laser-target system and identified a target offset that could resolve the asymmetry, potentially increasing the efficiency of future Inertial Confinement Fusion campaigns.
• Mathnasium (2016-2017)
Served as a mathematics instructor for K-12, SAT, and ACT preparation. Was the youngest employee at the establishment and taught students of all ages, including those older than myself.
