Initially created for the IB higher level film course. My aim was to express my nostalgia for a place I had lived in for over 10 years now that I would be moving away. I decided to film with a 4:3 aspect ratio with neutral tones as I wanted to instill a sense of simplicity to accentuate the tranquility that exists in Hong Kong, despite its reputation as a bustling city. This intention was further expressed through the static positioning of my camera, creating a juxtaposition between the energy of the city and myself as a viewer.
