In Upward Bound, I attended five university-level courses at the University of Washington for six weeks during the summer. Courses included an introduction to law lecture, quiz section, calculus, ballroom dancing, and college preparation. During the school year, I attended SAT preparation workshops every Saturday for four hours from Nov 2016 to Mar 2017.
In freshman year, I took three honors classes, English, algebra 2, and world history. In sophomore year, I took two honors classes, pre-calculus and English, and one Advanced Placement course, European history. In junior year, I took two honors classes, English and U.S. history, and one Advanced Placement course, calculus. Now, in my senior year, I am taking two honors courses, both being humanities, and four Advanced Placement courses, being chemistry, physics, statistics, and U.S. government. I took three years of Spanish
I got admitted into Seattle University, University of Washington, University of Washington Bothell, University of California Los Angeles, and University of California Irvine. I plan to attend the University of Washington in the fall of 2018 to pursue biochemistry. I was directly admitted into the major.

I played singles one for varsity tennis all four years of high school, making Districts in doubles my third year. I was also captain of the tennis team for two years. Prior to high school tennis, I played for an USTA Junior League team for three years.
I ran cross-country for two years. The first year I was top junior-varsity, and the second year I made varsity.

As an intern at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, I worked closely 40 hrs/week in a laboratory with a mentor. I learned to properly prepare medium for experiments, cultivate human colon cancer cells, and how to transfer the cells into different plates. I also attended lunch lectures and workshops regarding other areas of expertise in the lab.
