Education History
I have taken many science courses, most of them electives, in an effort to further my knowledge in sciences for my career. My goal is some profession in medicine, preferably a doctor, so it doesn't hurt me to be knowledgable in courses I am going to have to take. I also have taken quite a bit of English classes, mostly to help my school paper (The Oracle).
Awards
I have received merit awards, as well as academic awards, from my high school.
Additional Info
I have participated in multiple school sanctioned classes such as newspaper, photojournalism, journalism, independent journalism, and continuing in multiple of these classes as I proceed into my senior year. All of my contributions can be found on the newspaper website, instagram, twitter and the physical copy of the paper itself. Besides the English based courses, I also take HOSA (health occupation students of America) and have taken Principles Of Health Science/ Medical Microbiology and Pathophysiology. The HOSA program, as seen in my profile picture, is a career path course you have to apply for. When I got in I started to go to the hospital for the class, getting the opportunity to shadow some of the best doctors, nurses, and college students. I have learned a lot from this course, and I feel the other science courses I have taken have allowed my learning from the professionals to go into a deeper level. I would go to the hospital three days a week, for about a hour each day, shadowing in a specific area. Some of the units I visited include NCU, Emergency Room, OR, Cardiac Wellness, Pediatrics, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The first couple of months into the school year, the class had to practice taking vital signs and learn the basics of a hospital so we were able to hold a conversation and help if needed. I often took vitals at the hospital, and helped with patient transportation.
Employment History
I have been employed with multiple people for babysitting, and during the summer I have babysat for three kids from 6:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. I also have performed jobs for my father's business multiple times, mainly just organization tasks.

History
During hurricane Harvey, there were families who were heavily impacted and had no place to stay, nevertheless food to eat. I volunteered with Figlia Kitchen, an independent cooking class, owned by one of my neighbors. This cooking class is for children, so the families could drop their kids off to go work on their homes, and then bring a meal home when they picked their kids up. I often volunteer at my church with taking care of children and with the "Night to Shine" at my church. The "Night to Shine" is most commonly known as being associated with Tim Tebow. It is a prom type dance hosted for those with special needs. I was a "buddy", which was someone who stayed with the honored guest the whole night, making sure they had everything they wanted. I have volunteered at homeless shelters delivering food.
