Education History
• I've been in the same school district, Collinsville Unit 10, my whole life.
• As for high school, I've been top of my class of almost 500 since freshman year.
• I push myself by taking every AP or honors class that I can in field that interest me.
Awards
• I joined math team my freshman year and it's helped me to hone my math skills. I've participated in and placed well in many competitions, so this is no complete list of achievements. Also, I've been active in my schools STEM club since last year, and I am its vice-president this year.
• At a local math competition held 4 times yearly at SWIC, I've placed first 7 times, second twice, fifth twice, and sixth once. After freshman year I placed first every competition, except one where I placed second.
• In the ICTM circuit for math team, I placed first in the individual tests every year and perform well in the other events. At state my placings have steadily improved: 14th freshman year, 10th sophomore year, and 2nd junior year. Also, I placed 6th at state for two person my sophomore year.
• I won the game-on category of my regional Science Olympiad, a competition where you have less than a hour to create a game from scratch according to an unknown theme. I placed second in the fermi-questions category, which asks questions along the lines of, "How many grains of sand are on the planet?" and you give the order of magnitude of the answer in a short time period.
• At the other events in Science Olympiad (hydro-geology, experimental design, hovercraft, chemistry lab, and more), I generally place in the top 5.
• My team placed first at the TEAMS competition held at Missouri S&T my junior year.
• I placed first in math and physics at the WYSE regional competition my junior year, and advanced to state. Unfortunately, the result at state was not as good to say the least.
Additional Info
I'm president of my school's chapters of Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society) and National Honor Society in addition to being the vice-president of STEM club. Also, sophomore year I was voted to be the escort for my class in the homecoming dance, which was a pretty cool experience. Overall, my life philosophy is to improve myself as much as I can, whether it be in academics, socially, mentally, or physically. Life is more fun when you're constantly learning.

History
• NHS pledge my junior year (2017-2018) and president my senior year (2018-2019).
• In my junior year, I put over 40 hours into the community through NHS, mostly spend tutoring kids at a local church.
• I spent about an additional 10 hours just helping on my own, sometimes through NHS without recording the hours, sometimes on my own.
