Education History
Hello, my name is Emma Jean Rodriguez and I am a senior at Virginia City High School, dual-enrolled at Western Nevada College. I decided to enroll in the Jump Start Program at my school, which allows me to receive my Associate's Degree when I earn my diploma. So far I have my freshman year of college completed and am currently working on my sophomore year, to obtain my Associate’s of Arts. I plan to further my education by becoming an RN. I have chosen this field simply for my interest, and to achieve milestones that I can challenge myself with. My first and foremost priority in my life is my education, and to achieve my highest goals. Figuring out a college has been a little difficult for me, considering I am going to have to provide for myself, in the field of saving money. I do have a job, and work two jobs at the same business, trying to get a kickstart on saving for my future. Unfortunately, my parents do not have any savings set aside for me, and we have been struggling with money recently, which is why I am putting myself out there. I hope to take some more courses to prepare myself to apply to the nursing program.
Awards
I have always loved to stay involved in my school and school activities, and I have been appointed high honors by some organizations as well. I have been accepted into my school's National Honor Society for my leadership, scholarship, character, and service to my community. The National Honor Society has helped honor me for my academic achievements, and my care and love for my community. I have also received many citizenship awards for my kind and loving character and personality. Additionally, I have been awarded academic awards for my academic achievements as and Honor Roll student.
Awards
I have been very involved in the music programs at my school as well. I have been a part of the Silver Sound Choir for all 4 years of high school as well, and music is definitely a big part of my being. In my Junior and Senior year, I have been awarded voice section leader, also for my talent, experience, and leadership to my choir members.

I have been a cheerleader for all 4 years of high school, spreading joy and school spirit to my peers and my teams. I enjoy this passion of mine because I love to be energetic and support those around me. In my senior year, I have been awarded captain for my loyalty, involvement, experience, and leadership to my team members. I have always seen my team members as my family, and am very proud of being a part of the team.
