My school newspaper made a special edition last year in which talented students could submit their works of literature in the form of poems and short stories or works of art in the form of photography, paintings, and drawings. There were over 200 entries, so I submitted three poems for a higher chance of publication. When the newspaper was printed, I discovered that all three of my poems were chosen. Attached are the poems, my first publication, and my first step toward becoming a writer.
