In this essay, written in my sophomore year of high school, I examined the Bildungsroman genre through reading the books "The Weight of All Things" by Sandra Benitez, and "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. In this paper, I analyze the growth of the character and that character's moral epiphany, and apply this analysis to the Buldungsroman genre.
