August 20th, 2007 the day before my 12th birthday I lost my father to a heart attack. That triggered my mother to create her nonprofit organization A Mother's Journey. She initially was very active in bringing her organization to life but once the hardships of being a single mother set in she set her organization a side to be the best mother she could be to my 2 sisters and I. July 14th, 2011 I suffered a major heart attack at the age of 15. After fighting for my life on life support and 2 weeks in a coma I pulled through and survived. This caused my mother to revive her organization and get back active in the community as she had been through a journey that no other mother should go on. After I fully recovered I too got active with her organization. We realized that through everything we went through there was someone else out there who unfortunately had it worst. Today we are highly active in the community with a regular presence and we continue to grow.

President of A Mother's Journey. We are a nonprofit organization that does community outreach for our impoverished citizens of the North Texas area. We mainly do clothing drives and food drives. We interact directly with homeless and bettered women, we do not donate to 3rd parties.
