• Veterans of Foreign Wars : ROTC National Award / This award recognizes an outstanding AS III or AS IV cadet who possesses strong positive personal attributes (such as courtesy, dependability, punctuality, respect and cooperation) and demonstrates patriotism and leadership potential.

• National Society of High School Scholars : Since 2002, the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) has been supporting young academics on their journey to college and beyond as they prepare to become the leaders of tomorrow. NSHSS recognizes high school scholars for their academic achievements as well as service to their local communities.
• Top Performer : Every four years, AFJROTC units get inspected by a representative from the AFJROTC HQ. The inspector is able to present this award to whomever he/she feels has best earned it. At the end of our inspection this year, I was the recipient of this award. The Cadet Top Performer Award is a Headquarters, AFJROTC award presented to a maximum of 2% of the current cadet corps. All currently enrolled cadets may be considered. The award will recognize a cadet's performance in the following key areas: Leadership and job performance: in primary duty and specifically in preparation for the unit's triennial assessment. Leadership qualities: involvement and positions held in extracurricular activities. Academic performance: nominee must be in good academic standing in all high school course work. Significant self-improvement, Community involvement, and other accomplishments.
