I do plan on continuing participation in sports on a college team. I am on Varsity Cross Country and Unified Track.
Along with my education highlights I think the clubs that I am on are relevant. This includes
~Best Buddies Club - Elected Activities Officer. Served as a mentor at social gatherings and events with special needs students. Volunteered at the Western Massachusetts Special Olympics. Participated in Best Buddies holiday party, fashion show, prom, and unified track.
~School Council - Advocated for positive academic and social changes at South Hadley High School. Successfully levied for a STEM diploma program. Helped update the student handbook, mission statement, and code of conduct.
~LEO Club - Developed leadership qualities by volunteering at social service activities.
~Spotlight Newspaper - Served as editor, reporter, and photographer of the school newspaper. Interviewed faculty staff and students. Toured the Hampshire Gazette as part of career development.
~National Art Honor Society - Instilled positive ideas through displayed art. Promoted creativity to younger students by visiting the elementary school.
~Botany Club - Botany Club is a club that I created at South Hadley High School which was able to obtain $500 of grant money and donations and tons of informational support from the Mount Holyoke College and Smith College Greenhouses. Participants are taught the fundamentals of caring for tropical and local plants for use by the school culinary program and for display in the greenhouse that was built this year by the woodshop program.

• 2019-Present: UMass Amherst Adler Lab staff (Currently running experiments to be scientifically published involving Crithidia infection in bees).
• 2016-2019: Front Desk Cashier at Interskate 91 North (Provide customer service in a calm and efficient manner. Instruct large groups of children on how to skate).
• Summer 2018: Mount Holyoke College Restoration Ecology Scholars Program, South Hadley, MA (Participated in field and laboratory science activities centered around invasive plants, greenhouse gas emissions, soil, and water quality/flow. Collected data using specialized scientific equipment. Used waders measuring properties of the stream).

• I serve as a mentor for kids with special needs and participate in many activities that bring awareness and positivity to this.
• Volunteered at social service activities such as Santa Land at Buttery Brook State Park and the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade. (2017-present)
• Greenhouse Volunteer at Mount Holyoke College (Summer 2016, Summer 2017: Potted seedling plants for the incoming first-year students. Cared for the plants throughout the greenhouse.
