I have played violin in many capacities. Previously, I was a member of St. Cecilia's Music Societies Philharmonic orchestra and of my high school's symphony orchestra. I also played violin in a contemporary christian band and in a pit orchestra. My first two years of college, I played violin in a small orchestra organized by Grand Rapids Community College. Currently, I am playing violin with Anchor House, an interdenominational christian fellowship group.
Employment History
I previously worked as a Patient Care Assistant in Acute Neurology at a hospital in inner city Grand Rapids. I have also spent time in retail and long-term care. Currently, I am a student tutor for Lake Superior State University, assisting students with pre-nursing, biology and psychology courses.
Community Service
History
In high school, I lead student council in collecting thousands of items for our local food pantries. I also assisted with pop can drives, clothing drives and many more fundraisers to better the world around me. I was also a volunteer at my local hospital, helping with patient transport. During my time at Grand Rapids Community College, I tutored elementary school children in reading and math. Currently, I assist with childcare for MOPS (Mothers of Young Preschoolers).
