Community Service
History
Co-Founder of Project 314 in El Salvador. We promote the arts in low-income schools where art departments are non-existent. I worked to contact a renowned Salvadorean artist to visit these schools with us and through a process of meticulous selection, we invited kids ages ranges from 8 to 14 years old to become part of the program. About once or twice a month, we visit these schools on Saturday morning with the artist and a group of volunteers to give these kids with artistic abilities the tools and lessons necessary to promote their passion of art. Throughout this project we have recieved sponsorship from big companies such as Nestle and have been able to provide acryllic paints, canvas materiales, backpacks, pencil cases, and snacks to the members of the lessons. By the end of 314 Project (Summer of 2019), we will award 10 hardworking kids scholarships to continue to attend a prestigious art program in El Salvador.
