Jamie Linton's Album: My Singing Talent

I live in a musical household, so I continue to be exposed to different musical genres and to develop my individual voice as a singer. I have an intense passion for singing. My family has been very involved with music since before I was born. My grandfather, Maryland Pierce, was in a rhythm and blues vocal group called “The Five Keys” in the 1950s. They were inducted into the vocal group Hall of Fame, and my grandfather passed his vocals onto my mother, Darlynn Linton. She was a jazz singer for two years, singing at gigs and sharing her talent with anyone who would listen. So of course, music has been in my family, and I believe that it has such a positive impact on my life. When I sing, it feels like I’m the only person in the room. Whether it’s R&B, pop, country, alternative, or theatre I don’t skip a day without letting my voice be heard. It is my medicine.
