For the month of January, West Sound Academy's "Jan Term" allows students to choose an elective subject area or two to fully immerse themselves in. This means the school day consists of time devoted to this subject area while we take a break from our classes. In the music jan term, we work up dozens of pieces to perform at the end of the month as a big concert. This performance was at BPA theater and consisted of two full sets of music ranging from rock, latin, african rhythm, soul, funk, classical, celtic and more. I arranged horn parts among a three piece horn section, played sax, stand up bass, keys, mandolin and sang backups.
