Education History
I was at Brighton High School in Brighton Tennessee my first two years of high school. I was not offered any honors or AP classes; CP was the highest level I could take. However, I still maintained a 4.0 GPA. Before Junior year, I moved to Ohio and started school at Lakota East High School in the fall. Fortunately, this school did offer honors classes, so I participated in some while still maintaining my 4.0 GPA. My current schools grading scale allows students to have up to a 5.33 weighted GPA but I came with a 4,0 (my old school did not have weighted GPA), so my weighted GPA is lower than some other students at my school. Fortunately, I am still in the top 15% of my class. I still have one year until I graduate, but I plan on challenging myself by taking several AP classes because I have never had the opportunity to do so.

History
I love volunteering. Freshman through junior year, I volunteered at my church by taking care of children on Sundays. The summer of freshman year I was also a volunteer summer camp counselor. During sophomore year, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the St. Jude Fantasy Flight through my job. I started volunteering at both the animal shelter and the nursing home during my junior year. It is so rewarding to put a smile on someone's face or make a dog or cat's day. I volunteer at my local zoo during the summer to help educate guests about conservation. I also really love working with special needs children. My school has a club called S.O.A.R. and we do activities with the special needs kids once or twice a month and it is one of my favorite things. I don't say that to make myself look better; I really enjoy it because it breaks my hearts when people treat other students with disabilities poorly.
