Community Service
History
• I have been in Key Club the past 3 years and am doing it yet again as a senior. Last year I was a sophomore officer meaning I was in charge of all sophomores hours. This upcoming year I am going to be the senior officer. Over the past 3 years I have accumulated over 120 hours of community service from this club alone and will be adding another 40 hours at least this year in this club alone.
• I am also in the National Honors Society at my school and have already done over 20 of my hours and will be doing 20 more as well this year for this school function.
• I also volunteer through the cheer team reading for elementary school children, helping out teachers during back to school time, and volunteering at community functions.
• I volunteer outside of school functions as well. I have volunteered on this special needs cheerleading team for three years in a row. I am assigned a special needs child and every Sunday we have practice for an hour and the occasional competitions which give these kids a chance to experience sports, exercise, and team work. I love working with this project and have done around 75-100 hours with this project over the years.
Additional Info
I have done hundreds of hours of community service and have learned a lot about my self over the years including that community service means a lot to me and is something I plan to continue throughout the rest of my life through not only my free time but hopefully through my career as I get through college.
