My desire to become an officer gravitates towards the proliferation of mindsets sustainable by growth, correcting Soldiers' misrepresentation of what officers encompass and creating beneficial resources. With this opportunity, I will become a path that bridges positive and progressive cohesion between officers and enlisted. To demonstrate that reforming the minds within military ranks to higher levels can succeed with the work ethic and values, I will bring as an officer. That will be the key to success for the individuals in my proximity and those that I influence. Officers are not feeble, incompetent, or unreliable, nor are they individuals who do not care about the Soldiers. By commissioning, I want to work towards ending the stigma that has attached itself to the officer corps. In my career, I understood that I had to be the most significant asset that I could offer as a Soldier. And I firmly believe that each Soldier is an asset that has potential. Transitioning from enlisted to an officer would allow me the opportunity to utilize the knowledge and experiences I gained as an NCO, partnered with the expertise, I will develop as an officer, to provide a foundation that will, directly and indirectly, support my command. By becoming an officer, I will use this opportunity to continually build upon my assets and serve as a crucial asset for the Soldiers, the military, and the United States for years to come.
I hope to use this scholarship and any scholarship I should recieve to support my education in order to achieve my dream of finishing school, commissioning, and using my knowledge to help others develop.
