Due to financial and mental health reasons, schooling has taken me longer then most. I am elated to finally be at a place in life where college can be a priority. I didn’t know if I’d ever be in a position where I get to apply for scholarships and plan a future. It has been a long journey and I could not be more excited to see where my academics take me next!

I currently have been hired on by MPHD (Metropolitan Public Health Department) in Nashville. Prior to that, I was a general manager for a restaurant, a barista, and a nanny.

History
I have over 40 hours worth of volunteer work through Hands on Nashville this year. The majority of the hours were assisting with vaccination roll out through the public health department of Nashville. After those 40 hours, the Health Department decided to hire me on for the remainder of our mass vaccination site. In addition to vaccinations, I have also volunteered with flood cleanup from our recent flooding in March.

It is my goal to obtain a degree in Public Relations in order to continue my passion for helping others. I hope to be able to work for non-profits and other organizations by providing a voice and dedicating my time.
